Well with vacation pending I went out to get the trailer from storage.
And all darn it two of the tires showing cracks after the years.

I called my father in law to tell him and he said come over I have some tire that you can use,

I went over, we loaded them, went to my brother in laws to use his compressor and tools
to install them, adjust the psi and torqued.
Than my father in law drove me to a store to get a fuse for the fridge and back home.
Thanks to my in laws for the help and saved me the trouble of rushing around to get new tires when we really are not prepared to at this time.

Yes know over due for tires
I think I will look into LT tires

Just noticed you are pulling a Topaz, same as me. Mine is a little shorter, but still a heavy but super strong rig.

I took off my Marathons when I bought it and went to Costco to get Bridgestone R250 Duvaris

Best tires I could find for my purpose.

That looks like more than just age cracks, looks like a bubble was beginning to form under there. Good job catching it and keep on doing tire and trailer checks before towing!

(and... good job on picking your in-laws!)

Yup, they say you can choose your friends, but you are stuck with your relatives.

In your case, sounds like the relatives are great friends too.

Good you are ready to go on short notice, due to in laws help! 🙂

Just curious, post a picture of the last digits after you see DOT on the sidewall. Usually that mark is in an oval circle, but not always. It will be interesting to see the date code on the tires.

Sometimes when tires get old, the tire date code after the DOT mark gets put on the inside instead of the outside of the tire so people can't see it unless they climb under the vehicle, but it's always there.

Check your tires folks!
