Is there a good way to transport a golf cart with a 5er?

We are thinking of buying a golf cart to take with us camping but we are not sure how to transport it with our 5th wheel. Obviously the bed is out and not sure about tandem trailers, currently looking at Idaho tote. Any other ideas?

gpshemi,I wasn't knocking your choice of fiver and I you took it that way,,,,well I guess you'll get over it but I was speaking for myself and my own needs,i'm sitting here in my comfy puter' chair at my puter' desk next to the rest of the living room n' such and it really does look like a lil' apartment and some manufacturers really tried to make their garages look good but up till' now I haven't seen one yet with oak base-boards and hardwood floors. One other option I saw recently was a fellow added a third axle with brakes n' such to his fiver to accommodate a electrically lifted tray for his full dressed Harley Davidson, that bike has to weigh a thousand pounds and the system would look after a cart quite well.

I don't think I misunderstood at all. You're pretty clear. Toyhaulers are ugly pigs. I got it loud a clear...:R

My wife and I think the Road Warrior 390 and Cyclone 4000 are made for 2. We opted for the 4000. Looking forward to getting it next month and no more leaving my Wing at home.

Apologies to the original poster for such a rabbit trail ๐Ÿ™‚ ?!? but it IS a discussion forum !!!

What? Three pages already and no weight police telling him a golf cart will put him over his GCVWR which will result in his death and everyone else within a hundred mile radius?

my, or more correctly, my WIFEs sentiments exactly !

I tried to talk her into a toy hauler and I know it's all relative, but she just wouldn't go for it... too 'utilitarian' for her.

besides, I'm glad I haven't resolved the golf cart issue yet, she now wants a redwood 38gk :E

Exactly what my wife said too. We looked at many toyhaulers and they were most designed for families, not couples. After I researched platforms to haul our Goldwing, it opened up conventional 5th wheels for consideration.

Don't misunderstand my post, toy haulers don't work for ME,i'm not saying their junk, actually the KZ with the bar and keg fridge/tap looked pretty cool but for us who full-time the garage still looks like a garage, you can put a lace teddy on a pig,it'll be a better looking pig but in the end it's still a pig! The point that more and more rv parks aren't allowing transients to bring in their golf carts is a very good point to bring up and I think its growing trend.

Wow. Mine looks as nice as the rest of the coach really. Warm color walls. Walnut colored cabinets. 27" Flat screen tv. I bought the wall paper border that matches. Wife made chocolate colored curtains for in there. Rolled down carpet that matched the coach. Hidden mini fridge, and...it's pretty much the same interior...just a different room. Guess it's all in how you do it I suppose. To each his own right?

Move to a toyhauler or pull doubles. About your only options...

You omitted - - an HDT..:W

Lots of the HDT folks carry a "side loaded" Smart Car on the deck behind the cab (and tow "standard" 5th wheels).
A few carry golf carts the same way. (load, un-load either while hitched)

Pics can be found on the Escapees HDT forum.

"Randy A" carries a golf cart the same way - and can be found on here as "Professor95" - usually in the Tech forum.

If you call up his profile, there's a pic of his rig (before it was singled).
