Jayco Designer Removing Bedroom Valance

I have a Jayco Designer 34RLQS. The bedroom main window has a wood valance built around it. I would like to replace the day/night shade with 1 inch blinds. I'm not sure how the wood valance Is attached. I can see a screw on each side in about the middle, but am not sure how the top is attached. Would appreciate any insight from anyone that has removed this valance. Looking for advice before using brute strength and awkwardness.

Thanks everyone...as usual, you came through for me. It was the L brackets at the top of the valance that I was having trouble seeing. After standing on my head, holding my tongue on the left side, and leaning on my right foot, I was able to get the screws out of the top of the bracket. Then there were two screws holding the shade to the top of the valance. Thanks again

On my 2015 Eagle, the valences were held by angle brackets top & sides. I had to squeeze up to reach the screws in the valance. The blinds were screwed to the valance, no snap-in brackets.

It's tricky but do-able.

On my trailer, the only way to remove the blind was to first remove the valence and the valences are held on by screws up through the top to L brackets. The L brackets are screwed into the wall and then the valences are screwed into the L brackets.

I purchased a long (about 12 inch) Phillips screwdriver and was able to pull up the blind, reach behind it and get the screwdriver into the screw to remove the valence. Putting it back on was a bit harder but not impossible. I also found that it helped at first to remove the screen so I could get my head and eyeball under the blind to see up there. Good luck.

The day/night blinds snap into metal brackets. They are not too hard to unsnap.

I saw the two angle brackets on the side and suspected there are brackets on the top. Any suggestions on the challenge of removing the blinds?

Probably wood screws in the top of the valence, up into the header above the window. May be hidden under fabric. try using a magnet to find them. Probably screws through the shade header to hold it up, likely you need to take shades down first. The guys building these things have self loading screw guns, and have a lot of fun using them. Hot to put up a valence?? Just hold it in place and Zip, zip with the power driver. Think that way
