Keystone Laredo

Hello, I am looking at buying a new still on the lot 2016 Laredo. Can I get some advice as to the quality of the build on these? Are these a higher end camper or more of an entry level?

According to the specs it has a painted front cap with automotive paint. Is this being done to prevent the fading issue?

It's probably not paint, but rather a gel coat. Several brands have the same fading cap issue. Painting is the only way to rectify the issue.

Yes.that was it. I mis-spoke. It is a gel coat issue that makes it look faded. I still like the idea of a vinyl wrap on the nose. And I learned the hard way years ago with a wildcat, the sun will KILL a camper, it's covered storage only now. My Laredo is upgraded also with front air!!! Front AC is a game changer! Bolted a tow rack onto my frame in the rear and carry my Stump smoker and Honda generator to BBQ contest. Slide toppers are a nice upgrade also. Just food for thought.

Unfortunately my story is different from the other in this topic. In 2008 I bought a new 31 BHS. We loved the large bathroom and the small room for our young daughter. The first time we took the camper out both axles slipped down the leaf springs when we left the campground. The camper had to be loaded onto a flatbed 18 wheeler and brought to the dealer. After 4 weeks we got our camper back. Then the large slide leaked badly. It went back to the dealer. This happened two more times on the next two trips. The trailer spent more time at the dealer than our house for the first 8 months we had it. Finally after the first year the front cap delaminated. If you see Laredo's from that time frame you will see most of them have delaminated caps. Over the years we had other leaks and issues. I ended up eternabonding every seam on the roof. Finally last summer I found a soft spot on the floor. The sad part is the inside cabinets and other parts of the camper held up well. We towed the camper all over the country and enjoyed it when it worked properly. I ended up selling it really cheap and bought a new camper.

We love our '14 Laredo 32rls. Only issue is the winterizing knob/valve never worked. Didn't bother me as I've always used air to winterize my rv's.

Really like the rear living with the opposed slides. Lots of room.

That was my first choice- Keystone Laredo 266RL- when we first started looking. Loved the rear entry, loved the rear living and entertainment center where you aren't looking across the kitchen to watch TV. I loved everything about it. But then my wife found the Rockwood (in my signature) and we loved that one even more, but that's just a personal thing with us. I think the Laredo is a fine RV, but don't really know about ongoing problems or quality.

I had a 2003 Laredo 29BH. Sold it in 2015 when I upsized. It was a good camper with no complaints during the time I owned it.

Our first 5er was a Laredo rear kitchen model. We had no complaints about it, we were just ready, after 3 years use, to upgrade. It was considered then, and I believe now, a mid level trailer. Hope this helps.

Standard - Select - Premium

The Laredo fall in the "Select" section.

That tells me it is a mid-range camper.

I can't say I've ever really taken the time to step inside a Laredo, although I have been in quite a few. But considering it falls in the mid-range, same as my Outback, I will say, my Outback is a pretty darn good camper! I would put the Laredo in an equal status as the Outback (and others there.)

We've had our 2010 Laredo since new and use it at least 10-12 outings per year. No complaints ... every once in a while we opine that we should have gotten the next size up for a coat closet, kitchen pantry, a little more floor space in the living room area ...

but no issues with the build, in general.
