Landing Gear Problem

My landing gear works (slowly) when cord is plugged into truck, but has stopped working on shore power. The 30 amp bus fuse near switch appears not to be blown. Any ideas?

Found the problem, finally. There was a fuse hidden behind the battery box, well wrapped with tape. Replaced that and all is well.

Every one is right when they say the landing gear runs off your battery. I would check you inverter (shore power charger). Could be it's not working and allowing your battery to drain. If it is working properly you should have plenty of juice to operate the landing gear, even with a weak battery.

If you have a electrical tested trace the wires and see where the power stops. You could have a bad wire or bad or loose connection.

Must be a bad connection somewhere if it works with the truck plugged in but no other way.

I put a new battery on it, but no cigar. The only fuse I have found is a 30 amp in line fuse behind the switch. It appears to be good. Any other ideas?

Well, that all makes sense, and I appreciate the help. My battery is less than a year old. I took the tops of it, and it was about dry. I filled it up with water. It may be toast, but I'm hoping it will charge.

Heavy loads, landing gear, large slideouts, need a healthy battery, even when on shore power. A clue, in your case, plugging into truck helped a little. Just a small wire from truck plug to camper battery. If you used heavy jumper cables direct from truck battery, to camper battery, landing gear should work like normal.

Even when your plugged in to shore power your landing gear still pulls power from your battery. Check your battery I'm guessing your going to find that's it's bad. If you can get your hand on load tester that would be the best way to test the battery.
