Ok. Have been looking a lot. Have it down to top 4. No particular order.

1. Keystone Montana 3761 with Full body paint loaded to the max. 2 whisper AC units, 2 awnings. Got them from $121k to $78k

2. KZ Durango Gold 386FLF, wife loves because of 2nd fire place and dishwasher standard in this model.2 awnings and slide out awnings. 3 whisper AC units. $115k down to $72k.

3. Jayco North Point 382FLRB Love the cottage Farm look and seems to be same layouts. What I like is dual TVs is hide-a-tv area. One for living and kitchen. Whisper AC Don’t have pricing yet rep said $72-75kClick image for larger version

4. Grand Design Solitude 380FL full body paint loaded nicely too. $118k down to $83k, but no whisper AC units. Click image for larger version

Any and all feedback is welcome.

MSRP's over $120K for a mid-line 5er is out of this world. Why don't you look for a higher end used 5er? Much better value for your money.

agree with Ron... With a fifth wheel in that size range, a 3rd AC with power management is 100% awesome on those hot summer days.

My 2016 did not have 3, my 2020 does, what a difference ! !!

It all depends upon the insulation/windows, ect. We spent a couple of August days in Mesa, Az. , with only one AC.....running on a 20 amp extension cord, awaiting some repairs. While “not” real comfortable, it was quite tolerable/doable. Though, ours is only 39 feet in length, maybe if ours was larger larger, that second AC would have been necessary! memtb

"The Hoff":

Looks like 12 replies (this should be #13).

4 - were regarding the A/C you should choose (or agreeing with a previous post)

2 - were posters surprised (or shocked) at the cost of the units.

1 - whichever the DW likes best.

So that leaves five (5) suggestions.

So, you should be able to make a clear-cut, well informed decision!..:R

IMO -
Skip the internet forum/s - Do your own research -
decide what *YOU* (and, of course the DW) prefer...:S

Happy hunting & spending.

I don't know anything about Keystone or Jayco.
I've owned 2 KZ units and very happy with both, minor items but not a big deal.
A friend has a G.D. and he's very happy with it as well.
For what it's worth I saw that 386FLF at the Cal. Speedway RV show a few months back. Very nice rig."BIG". Better have a big truck to pull it.
Pricing seem about what they were asking on signs, I bet you can get them in the high mid $60's.
Good luck.It's only money.

I am guessing with the higher humidity on your side of the Country the 3 AC's would be even more appreciated.

We have been in days of 113 temps and very comfortable in the Palm Springs, CA area.

yea, it's normal to be in upper 80-90% + humidity with high temps... makes for a sauna feel

You will find praise, and complaints, for all of them . Whichever one you, or more importantly the DW, likes best.

All I can say is WOW, middle of the road 5th wheels with MSRP of well over 100K! Things have really changed since we purchase our 2017 Bighorn in May of 2016 which had a MSRP of 86K+ and we paid in the low 60's for it.

With customer wage increases fairly flat, how are people affording these new rigs?
