Looking for feedback on a new toy hauler

I am looking to purchase a new toyhauler this spring. I have been looking for a long time and the more I look the more distracted I get. I am towing with a 2015 ram 2500 diesel. Because of this I want to stay at or below a 2500# pin weight. I know I want a separate garage. The 36'-38' length. The models that have stood out to me most and are in the right price range are the Torque and XLR. Any feedback on brands or suggestions would be great. I am located in Utah and would also like recommendations on local dealers.

How would the keystone impact or carbon compare to the XLR?

Thanks for the feedback on General rv. I have bought my tickets to the rv show and can hopefully get a much better idea and price. The Spartan toy haulers look vey nice as well.

I bought my 2015 Spartan TH from General RV in Draper. So far, so good on warranty service with them. The manufacturers seem to be the ones to worry about with a new unit. Mine was put together pretty good and I have had only minor issues so far. If you are looking at new models, go to the RV show at the end of February in Sandy. You will get the best prices from the dealers at the show. If you are looking at used models, the dealers have plenty of trade-in's to choose from after the RV show also.

Look at the car hauler style gooseneck trailers with living quarters. Millennium, Feather Lite, and InTech all have aluminum chassis models that have sufficient garage space. Work and Play may also have models, but they are heavier.

Careful on brochure pin weights as they can be off BOTH up and down. I test towed a Voltage 3305 and listed pin was around 2800. With a SRW I needed to know true weight and insisted I weigh the rig. Turned out to be 2540 and the owner and salesman did not know the scoop. I informed them there was to genset in front understorage!!!
Although rare this does happen. My last cougar fifthwheel pin was 2 pounds off from sticker.
I know getting it weighed is not always possible.
Good luck.

If you don't mind coming a couple hours into Idaho. I have been very happy with Smith RV in Idaho Falls. The support is terrific. They sell Fuzion THers.

Easier if you find the dealers and plug them in the search (above) then you can search the entire forum, if you click on Advanced Search you can search beyond the past year, that will give you a sense of history if the dealership does happen to show up.

I know they are not always accurate but the pin weight on the Xlr 29UDQL5 is 2205#. The torque 29 is right at 2500 list weight. I realize it will go up loaded.

In gattorgetter's thread, I mentioned the Cougar SRX. A very nice hauler but the garage door is rather small. How big of a garage do you need and what will you be hauling?
