Need help- Leak at fresh water tank

Hello all, I am in need of some help. I have an 07 attitude 26FSAK. The fresh water tank is leaking from the fitting going into the water pump. The fitting is (i think) a 1" female bung that is glued into the tank. There is a 90 elbow that threads into that and the hose comes off from the elbow going to the water pump. The female fitting is cracked down the side where the threads are. I dont know what the tank is made of, just that it is a black plastic. The fitting is a clear or white color. Any advice is appreciated.

Awesome that the noticed the others being cracked and replaced them all for you. That's way cheaper than buying a new tank.

OK call these people 714 259-1385 as mention above (Spin welding is the process) 07 Attitude 19" fresh water tank issue they took care of it. Pull your tank it tanks like 45 minutes, drive it over it well cost like maybe $30 bucks headache gone! Don't waste you time trying to glue it, they don't hold with everything flexing I tried it a waste of time!! http://www.ronco-plastics.net/

Just wanted to follow up with what has been done. I listened to dirtclods advice and pulled the tank. It took me about 45 minute ( just like dirtclods said ) and drove it down to ronco. They are open every other saturday. They replace 3 of the fittings because they were cracked and the total cost was $40. Now I have to put it back in. Thanks dirtclods for the solid advice!!

if its easy to get to? they make BARREL flanges, , you cut a hole in the tank,I,d cut the old plug out and put one in. also boat flanges .

Yep. I think I would go with the flanges instead of gluing it.

Call a tank supply in your area. Spin welding is the process used to patch and add a new fitting. See if someone local to you can do it. Not a permanent repair but permatex ultra blue silicone sold at any auto parts store sticks like a son of a gun. Going on a year now with a cracked bung on my funrunner.

I just looked on ebay,, there called thru the hull flanges.

you need to get to the back side for those, don't think they would work. the drain/fill kit would be a **** shoot as you'd have to remove the old one, which would leave a bigger hole than this would cover IMHO.

The fitting is in the bottom corner. I took it to an RV shop and they told me it needs a new tank. I tried JB weld and it did not work. Has anybody had any luck with this?

It's ABS. I just bought a repair kit for mine but the fitting is a different material I believe, not sure how to fix that, might have to ask an RV shop. If its accessible might be able to replace it and patch the tank but it takes a special tool/process to put those fittings in. Where is the fitting? If its at the top might just want to wrap it with rubber and a hose clamp since there's no pressure on it, if not then a full repair is in order.
