A new Sony or Panasonic blu-ray player can be bought for under $100. Why not just replace it with a better player?

The Logitech Harmony remote series are programmed via an app on your PC and eliminate the need to run through what can be a very time-consuming game of chance to find codes. Unfortunately, many of the systems installed in RVs are off-brand or no-name units and aren't even listed in Logitech's databases (which contain tens of thousands of brands and models). I have replaced the unit supplied with my RV and control the DVD/Blue Ray player, satellite TV receiver, TV, and Polk Audio sound bar with wireless sub with a single Logitech Harmony remote. It's extremely convenient.

Must universal remotes have a procedure for finding the codes via hunt and try.

You might ask over on the Montana Owners Club (MOC) forum. I know this has come up before. I had the same no name system, but it failed several years ago. And unfortunately I recycled the remote along with the unit.
