New toy hauler newbie

All,
I'm in the market for my first toy hauler and would like advice. I have read most of the older posts here. Here is what I'm at. I'm looking at the forest river 2016 stealth 2212 or the eclipse attitude 21SAG I like the stealth more but would like to get everyone's opinion on which company makes the better trailer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You'll want a 5er if your living in it for any length of time. We've never been more that about two weeks in our at once but never considered it a problem, would love to take longer trips but can't get away from the business that long. It's just the DW and medium size dog and me.

Sounds like a longer trip would be good for the two of ya. As for me, it'll just be me. Work sometimes has me in a plant for 12 hours or longer in a day and that wouldn't be fair to the pet.

In that case I would look at a smaller 5er. Lots of benefits over a bumper pull after having owned both.

The Attitude is made by Eclipse. They also make the Stellar and many other. They seem to specialize in Toy Haulers. Seeing them at the Eclipse dealer really makes you realize that they all have that extreme sports kind of look.

Both are comparable traiers but around where I live you can definitely get better pricing on an Attitude. What is your tow vehicle and what will you be hauling? For a bumper pull I like the Attitude 23SAG as it has a complete front walk around bed similar to my 28SAG 5er

Yeah it was the same price and the dealer was straight up with me. He told me the 2212 was to small for my family of 5 or it would be within 2 years. But I was able to get the bigger camper with the outdoor kitchen below the cost I could get the 2212 for. He even through in a hitch and axel flip along with a 7 year service plan. I was very impressed with the whole process. I have always hated car buying with all the haggling and crap. But with the RV I gave them my bottom line and he gave it to me plus the extras.

Nice...you went a little bigger than you first mentioned. The 2612 has the outside kitchen, that should be nice. Congrats...you'll love it.

Well gents we just closed the deal on a 2612 stealth. Will be picking it up Monday or Tuesday. I greatly appreciate all the help. They threw in a 7 year extended warranty and hitch as well as an axel flip. I'll post some pics once we get it.
