New toy that we just picked up today. New 2013 can am Spyder ST-limited in "black currant". Added the backrest and akrapovic sport silencer. Also swapped the chrome front wheels For black. Dealer put on the 2014 side panels for better cooling too. It is SO much fun. Now to just figure out getting the Spyder into the Raptor without scraping the nose.

We have a silver sport edition.

It is fun. Your mods make it better handling? My husband will probably want to know more about that.

Have fun on your getaway. The weather is supposed to be gorgeous!

The Spyder has been really fun..the mods have begun. Got the new RS S mag front wheels, SpyderPops bumpskid, Fox Podium front shocks and a Baja Ron front sway bar. The difference with the Fox shocks and sway bar is night and day. SO much better handling. Going to load it for the first time this weekend for a mothers day mini getaway.

Where are you at? We are in the summit waller area.

Also, did you get your three wheel endorsement yet? Washington state has a separate endorsement for 3 wheels. We did our course last June at the school at the supermall and had a lot of fun.

Maybe we'll see you around town this summer.

We're down canyon road off 176th heading toward meridian. We do have our endorsement...took our course in Silverdale because we wanted to get into the earliest class at the time (and it poured that weekend LOL). Maybe see you around...what color Spyder?

I like both. We have a 2011 RT-S SE and a Harley FLHR. They are both fun in their own right! Congrats to the OP. A couple of 2X6's to help break the angle will prevent the nose from rubbing the ramp. Been there.

Here's a good Spyder forum with a lot of knowledgeable people...

I need to take a demo ride on one of these beauties. Goes against my grain though, too much like a car/cage.

My wife has one. I have an Ultra. I've ridden the Spyder several times, and you can bet that when it comes time for my next purchase it will say Can-Am on the side. I love Harley's, but their trikes are a bear to ride and the Spyder is like sliding on greased glass..... (smoooooth & EZ). Love my HD, and have a million dollars (exaggeration) in gear and accessories, but, you got to do what you got to do! And the transition is a breeze, just forget you need to grab a-hold of it and man-handle it. A soft, gentle touch is all that's required!

Just did a demo ride on one of these. Had a Harley Ultra in the past with sidecar....a completely different setup and ride from that!

Wicked looking machine.....good call on the black wheels. Looks mean.

As for loading, get a couple 2X10's in 6 to 8 feet long and plunk them down to decrease the angle of approach into your Raptor.

Enjoy!!

Congrats! Good luck on the loading issue, need to look at getting the edge of the ramp up a bit, that nose does look low.

Give us an update after a couple thousand miles. I don't know anything about them but, they are cool.

Very Nice !! I've always wondered what they are like to ride. Having ridden motorcycle for 40+ years, would it be a big adjustment? interesting... Thinking...
Very nice new toy !!
