Pin box bike rack, how many bikes can you fit

I finally got this mounted up last night. I still need to add a couple of bolts to the bracket prior to traveling, but this was enough to check clearance. I'm only going to get 3 bikes on it, the 4th is too close to the truck to do anything but drive straight.

I get four on with enough clearance to put the trailer 90° to the truck. AND I still have enough clearance to allow the canoe to overhang the rear of the cab about 12" (sits on a roof rack bar at the rear of the cab and a "goal post" off a front hitch). One of the bikes is a folded trailer bike, for now.

I made my own mount and did a write up on here. I believe it may be in the mod section, but bought a 3 bike, fold down rack from discountramps.com like this my 3 bike rack
I probably could get 4, but I enjoy the fact that I've never even came close to the cab of the truck.

Yeah, I made my own pin box mount for about $25. And my Thule 4 bike rack cost something over $100 as I remember.

You can find them Here. . $269 for the pin box mount, $499 for the bike rack, and another $50 for the "required" telescoping support arm. Just $818 + whatever tax and shipping applies.

I can easily get 3. Have not tried for the 4th, but not sure I have room for another either.
