Going to be taking a trip beginning at Memphis, Tenn. to Nashville up thru Louisville, Kentucky and would appreciate any points of interest on this route you could offer. We have seen Graceland, but need places to eat and spend the night on this trip. Would also like the name of the campground near the Gaylord in Nashville. Thank you for your thoughts and suggestions.

Tom Sawyer RV Park is in West Memphis Arkansas. It is a great place to watch river traffic.

We just came back from Louisville. I had previously gone to the "Falls on the Ohio" state park which is actually over the river in Indiana. Really cool fossil bed and you are under the level of the river. We missed it this weekend due to being short on time and the river was waaaaaaaay up so I wasn't sure if we could even get down to the river bed.

Definately make it a point to hit Beale Street in Memphis.
For camping in Nashville, take a look at the 3 that are on Music Valley Road about 1 mile from the Opryland Hotel and the Grand Ole Opry. One is a Jellystone, one is a KOA and the other is Two Rivers (if I remember right). YOu are not that far from the Hermitage also.
Good Luck and Happy Camping.

If you saw the movie Coal Miner's Daughter then you would enjoy a stop in Hurricane Mills (75 miles west of Nashville). Take a tour of Lorreta Lynn's house and museum. They also have the house from the set of the movie (replica of the house she grew up in). We enjoyed it very much (but again we loved the movie). They also have a very nice campground on site. Wooded with concrete pads.

We liked Two Rivers Campground near Gaylord in Nashville.
