Thinking of using Poliglow Prep to remove oxidation and old wax from the front of the 5th wheel. After using Poliglow Prep I am planning on applying new wax. Has anyone used Poliglow Prep to remove oxidation and old wax? Has anyone applied Poliglow after using Poliglow Prep.

Appreciate your feedback.

I used bars keeper friend to remove lots of oxidation. Then follow with a good wax. It worked pretty good. You will never get that full shine again. You will still have to keep doing this year after year unless you wax it every 3 months or so. Mine is 12 years old and one side always in the sun it fights me every year. The other side is always shaded and still has all its graphics but had to remove all faded and cracked graphics from front driver side and rear and fight oxidation all the time.

X2 on what donn0128 said. We tried it and couldn't get it smooth. Called the manufacturer and they weren't much help. We followed the instructions. Like donn0128 could never get all of it off. We used polishing compound and an orbital buffer on light oxidation

The only real cure is to have the gel coat painted. Nothing else is a permanent fix.

Poly Glow is fast and easy and will give your RV a bit of facelift but it doesn't fix the problem. To bring a like new shine to heavily oxidized gel coat requires wet sanding followed by polishing and waxing. Waxing is done as a final step and should really be for uv protection rather than to restore a shine.

Did it once. Never again. Fought the mess after the first year. Never did get all of it off no matter how much stripper I used it seem to still be there.
