Why don't they put mounted tanks in FW like they have in Class A or C? With that being said has anyone had one mounted in their FW.

I'm certain that if you want a fixed mount LP tank - you can find someone to do it for a somewhat reasonable price.

As mentioned above - breaking camp in a TT or 5er is a bigger deal than in a motorhome / class C. Also, a Class A/C is usually shorter and easier to maneuver than a TV and trailer getting to the propane pump.

We are seeing many Class A rigs without propane now - 'All Electric' coaches. I'm sure we will see some Class C rigs and some big 5ers set up without any propane within a couple years.

It would be a real hassle to fill the tanks if they were permanently mounted.

It's a big deal if you have to break camp to do it. And breaking camp with my 5er is a big deal.

My 5er with TV, is about 55' long. I just find removable tanks much more convenient. Don't need to uproot the condo on wheels to fill the tanks.

I think that may be the reason.

I sure don't want to drag the 5er to the filling station to fill the tanks. :S

If weight is an issue, I have seen a couple of Northwoods trailers (5ers) that had four 20# tanks, instead of the standard 2 30# tanks.
