I have a 2015 F-250 6.2 short box or 6 3/4 and the prices I got to day were Super Glide and all the you need with it was $686 more than the Reese Glide manual hitch. Is it worth the money?? Also how often do you need to slide it back and are you normally in a place where its a nightmare to do it?? ( Like in traffic }

Let me ask this. I have a crew cab and when making a tight turn can you tell how close it is getting to the cab? I mean most of the time when making a turn the 5er is pretty close to the cab like just a couple of inches right? Do you have to worry when making most turns. If that is the case then its a no brainer.

I have had both. I LOVED the Pull Rite Super Glide. Its a great hitch. Solid, quiet AND Heavy. If you are pushing your payload then consider the weight of the Pull Rite. It was great peace of mind when you find yourself in a tight spot.

I have been towing trailers most of my life. No matter what type, you have to be diligent when backing or turning short. Ford 6 3/4 bed, you would not have to have a slider, with a newer trailer. If you are not confident, it would be best to have the Pullrite auto system, rather than a manual.

yep good points. I have read many posts about people not having to use there glides but maybe once a year. I have never pulled a fifth wheel and don't really no what to expect. Piece of mind is worth it I guess. Thanks for the help

I guess I should say that I don't have a 5er yet. My wife doesn't retire for a year and looking for the great deal on a rear kitchen. Maybe I am jumping the gun a little. I no some of the 5ers now I might not need a slider??

sure seems worth it when you forget to manually set the hitch back on a quick u turn and have to get a new side for your cab.
