Sailun Tire update

Getting ready to start to begin to commence to think about my next set of tires for the TH 5er.

Have been looking at the Sailun S637. They fit the bill for size & weight needs and have good reviews so far.

So my very specific question is: Have any of you Sailun tire OWNERS had ANY regrets?

(lets try not to start a tire argument cuz they always go bad, and yes, I have read plenty about other tires just want to know about these at this time)

Thanks!

I am considering the Sailuns in the new size 235 80 16. My 5th has E tires currently and no clearance for LT(or st) 85s. Weight is ~10,500 with 11,500 gvwr. Wheels have 110psi rating. I am also considering the maaxis E. Reliabilty and longevity is the goal. Wondering how folks here would go. Sailuns and Maaxis are hard to get here but we mostly travel in the US.

Thanks All
Paul

I've only had them a year but absolutely no regrets at all. They are a super heavy duty tire, are wearing like steel, wearing evenly, and I haven't had to add any air. I really think you will like them.

I have Sailuns on our commuter SUV. They seem fine. Zero problems.

Had mine for two years no problems. Just picked up a second spare from simpletire.com as we are traveling a ton this summer and wanted the piece of mind with a second spare if something did happen.

I did some research on many G rated tires recently. We are buying a new Vengeance and I will never have E rated tires again.

I opted for the G614 GoodYears but that's because I could get them from the start. But we were also looking at Fuzions and most of them come with Sailuns now. If I had bought a Fuzion I would have been totally happy with Sailuns. If I couldn't have gotten the GYs, Sailuns would have been the next choice for my Vengeance.

After 3 years and only about 10,000 miles, mine are doing fine. No issues, no loss of air, no unexpected wear patterns, no weather checking, no tread separation. All in all, no surprises. Just the way we like it.
