Just got our Sailun tires on our 2015 337 RLS Refection. Question is our Westlake psi we kept at 80, do these need to be any more than that? Thanks Tara

Running more air than is needed is no big deal to me. I want the max load carrying capacity and the least amount of sidewall flex. Sidewalls flexing generates heat which kills the tire. I don't think you will ever wear a tire on a trailer out because it is over inflated. They will wear unevenly if the alignment is off or they will time out from old age. I always run my tires at max inflation. Never had a problem, just my opinion.

I agree and inflate the same way.
For those attempting to match pressure to the weight of the tires, how are you determining the load carried by each tire?
I don't know about anyone else, but I weighed mine. Seemed like the easiest way. I have the Shurline scale rated to 5,000 lbs. and weighed each wheel.

From Sailun -requet it through their website.

From the way you explain it, it doesn't make sense when you see more trailer tires time out that wear out other than alignment issues. Thanks!

I determine how much air by how they wear. If you run more than needed they will wear the centers if too little air they will wear the edges. With the solid shoulder on the Sailun's there's not much difference in wear. I just choose 95 because that still gives me more than enough capacity. I went with the larger 235/85.

So I have to ask, are most of us over inflating our trailer tires for the loads we carry.

I have 12780 on the two trailer axles. That is 3195 lbs on average per tire. So if I inflate my 4400 tires to 110 pounds I have 38% more capacity than is required for the load. I understand having extra capacity, but 38% seems like a lot.
