Sewer Hose

What is the longest sewer hose you can get? It seems like in most RV parks we've been to lately, it's a long way from the outlet on the Rv to where it goes into the ground. What size do most of you have?

I added a 60" sewer storage pipe under my 4" bumper. I carry a total of 35' of sewer hose that will all snap together. A 15' and two 10' and have used it all.

A pump doesn't alleviate the need for a long hose. Helps if the run is uphill regardless of distance.

I was thinking it would be easier to carry the narrow macerator hose than several lengths of sewer hose.

I carry LOTS of hose. I have 2 - 20 footers, 2 - 10 footers, and 3 or 4 shorter ones. I've been in some campgrounds that have had unusual locations for water, electric, and dump hook-ups. I make sure I've covered. Here's an example from my previous camper and my current camper:

This was one of those campsites we were glad we had plenty length of electric cord, sewer hose, and water hose!

I have the package that includes two 10' hoses and a elbow connector. Has worked for us wherever we have been. To save space, if you compress the unused hose before putting on the end caps, it uses a lot less space to store. Just be warned, its not as simple as it sounds, but it does work.

I have the regular length Rhino hose and carry two extensions. And I have used both extensions a few times. You can get caps for the extensions to put on them when they are not being used.

that''s why I changed to a sewer solution and then to a macerator pump.

I carry one long one and two 5 footers. The 5 foot is perfect for a dump station where you can get in really close. Also have one of those centipede things to elevate the hose. Seems more and more places have elevated sewer hookups.

Use hoses that have molded in connectors and join them together as needed. There are a few poorly designed RV parks we've been to where the connections were to the far rear of the site and 20' wasn't enough. My 5'er has its connections on the side just in front of the tires. This location seems fairly common. I have 2 10' hoses that have worked at the majority of parks.

Have a 20, 15, & 5. Another factor is where your sewer connection is on your RV.

I usually use a 10' hose. I also have a 20'. I can also series them together for a 30'. Then I also carry a cheap hose still in its package that I never expect to use. If 30' is too short, move to another site.
