Help!! I am looking to replace the couch in our 5th wheel and want to replace it with a very comfortable, queen size sleeper sofa couch. Does anyone know of one with a removable back so I can get it the door?

I suggest contacting braddandhall.com in Elkhardt, IN as they carry the Flexsteel line of furniture as well as another brand..Villa International as mentioned above, I think! They would be able to tell you about the ability to get a Flexsteel sofa bed through a standard rv door. We just had a Flexsteel Easybed installed in our trailer. As in the previous post, you may have a little sticker shock as they are pricey. Since we're only 225 miles away, I had them install it. But they will ship it to you and their shipping rate on my purchase wasn't too bad. We had a very good experience at Bradd & Hall, and they also build rv cabinets, tables, dinettes on site that are really very reasonable for the quality and appearance.

I just bought one to renovate my 10 year old fifth wheel. The manufacturer on mine says Villa International Rv furniture.

They aren't cheap so get ready for some sticker shock when you look into it. I looked for a while and then got lucky and found what I wanted on Craigslist for a small fraction of the cost of a new one. Mine is the L-shaped extenda lounge. The L part has an extendable seat section. There are options you can add to these types of sofas. Mine has a queen bed in the straight section with flip up foot rests as well. All comes apart to fit through a 24' door.

You say you want very comfortable. You would have to decide if this type would suit your needs. Everyone that sits on mine loves it though.

Another option, of course, is to take out a window (usually the dinette window) and bring the new couch in that way if the window is big enough. While it's not ideal for everyone to remove a window, this method now allows you to buy whatever couch you like providing the window opening is big enough.

We bought a futon, as the hide a bed cut off access to the kitchen, as a couch way more comfortable than the old one.

We looked for a LONG time for such an animal. Never found one. They make either sleeper sofa, or sofa's with removable back. Never found one that did both. We settled for the removable back that reclines and put it in the camper because it fit through the door. We loved the sofa so much, we ended up get an identical one for the house.

But searching for months, never found a removable back with a bed combination.

Check with LaZBoy. Most all of their stuff has removable backs. I do not have direct knowledge of their sleepers. Every recliner that we've had and my MIL has had, the backs were removable. Good luck.
