Step to reach hitch pin

I was wondering what kind or step guys are using to reach the hitch handle pin? I am 6 feet tall I can reach the handle ok but the locking pin on my B&W is too far.Being in my mid 50's and fat the days of stepping on to of the tire are past me. I would like something that is compact and will store easy but is still sturdy enough to support my fat butt.
Thanks

You have a dually, might as well keep it. New trucks are incredibly difficult to get these days.

I would think it would work, it should just slip over the outer tire

I would still be travelling via RV today if I could bend over and still breath. Had to stop because of difficulty in doing all the necessary chores of hooking up, unhooking, utility hookups, leveling, chocking etc. every time we camped.

In our campground where we used to snowbird down in Tampa, there were many 90+ year olds who drove their rigs down there, so it is possible but just not by me - darn it! I certainly wish we could. We still use our trailer a lot in the summer where it sits now though.

I will stop here as I have hyjacked the thread for long enough.:E Apologies to the OP!

That is awesome! My Dad is 87 later this month and in good shape. Mom passed recently and he is thinking about getting a RV and do some traveling.

Got two friends that we met in our annual Montana trip ,one quit pulling his RV from Indio, Ca. at 92 . The other was towing from Las Vegas ,and he quit at 90. Both are still doing well just not towing Rv's anymore .

Thanks! I put a lot of time into making it a functioning product.

My Dad bought the AMP and returned it as it mounted at the front of the bed. That got me thinking there had to be a better way.

does that just slide into a camper tie down?

Steve

No, I fabricated a support that mounts to one of the bed cross supports.
