Does anybody run the Westlake tires that come on cedar creek champagne 38EL? I have been running on our last trailer the Sailun tires and have been very happy. Please help make my mind up. Thanks all

PS Westlake has a speed rating of 62 mph.

Here are some pictures I took of a 16โ€ Westlake LRG tire at an RV show some time ago. There is a plant code and date of mfg. Also a speed letter โ€œLโ€ for a 75 MPH speed limit. Itโ€™s a regroovable tire with a 6.5โ€ rim width requirement.

Since itโ€™s a G rated tire it would most likely do just fine. However Speed Rating means nothing for your RV and I would not tow at 75 mph with these tires or any other. Itโ€™s a recipe for trouble. Tow at 62 to 65 and your RV and you will enjoy the trip.

X2^^. The higher load ratings in the Westlakes are OK (they come on all Grand Design RVs), but the Sailun S637s are in a different class altogether.

I couldn't agree more. Here is a good YouTube video that shows this.

I am running the g rated Westlake tires. We have several thousand on them with probably 3 thousand interstate miles at speeds of 65 to 75. I keep them at 110 psi since I run heavy. I have no plans to change until they age out.

PS Westlake has a speed rating of 62 mph.

You might check that again...speed ratings on my Westlake Tires is 75 MPH. According to eTrailer, only load range H Westlake tires have a 62 MPH rating.

I'd say that if you're buying a new rig with these tires, go ahead and ride them out for a while. They're generally regarded as a pretty decent tire.

Nowadays a max speed rating of 62 mph isnโ€™t very good.
