Ultra Fab landing gear

Iโ€™m having some issues getting my current landing gear to work correctly (detailed in another thread), one of the things Iโ€™m considering is upgrading to a beefier set of legs and dual motors. Iโ€™ve added some weight to the front with new batteries, and while Iโ€™m not ready to correlate possible stripped/broken gear with that change, I figure if Iโ€™m go8ng to fix it, maybe better to fix it once and for all.
Iโ€™m looking at the Ultra-Fab deluxe landing gear, itโ€™s good to 12k lbs (my rig tops out at just over 12k total), seems to have a bit more extension at 38 inches. Any experience with this equipment? The brackets seem ok with my current setup, they recommend 13.5 inches between for one of the configurations, which is what I have.

Lol, me itโ€™s the opposite, the Bulldogs are back ordered and the Ultra Fabs are next day... ideally, would want to have it delivered to home so that when I pull in I can start the work!

My landing gear failed just when I was about to leave from a campground.

After investigating my options(Bulldog, one Speed and Ultra-Fab 2speed)wanted the Ultra but they were 2 to 3 week lag due to backlog.

So had to use the Bulldog because they shipped overnight. They work fine but are slow.

After finally getting a reply from Dutchmen, they โ€˜thinkโ€™ itโ€™s a Lippert (Venture) landing gear, theyโ€™re not completely sure since they were acquired by Keystone in 2014 and I guess their record keeping is shaky following the acquisition.
From what I can tell, the tabs on the existing installation seem to line up with what Ultra Fab recommends (13.5 inches between bottom of lower tab and bottom of upper tab), so Iโ€™m hoping this will be relatively straightforward.
Right now Iโ€™m out camping so I picked up some cinder blocks and a bottle jack to the frame to keep things stable. Itโ€™s a hillbilly solution but seems to work!

^^^^^I guess it's just a matter of definition then, I don't consider the slight slow oscillation of the motor as it raises the leg to be a "shake". Shake is what you see the OEM motors and gearboxes do as they try to raise the legs. ๐Ÿ™‚

The Bulldog system mounts the motors directly above the legs. Maybe you got them confused.

He said the motors, not legs. And yes Bulldog motors do oscillate. Doesnt matter unless it hits something in the process.

I love my Bulldogs.

The determining factor should be your oem mounting tabs welded to the frame. Bulldog soec is 15.25" where Ultrafab spec is 17.25" Bulldog may be a drop in in most applications where Ultra Fab may require new mounting tab welded.

Our Carriage had Ultra Fab as original equipment, 13 years later still worked great. When I damaged a leg I found their customer service to be ready and willing.

The only negative feedback I saw on the Bulldogswas that the motors tended to shake quite a bit during extension (and presumably retraction). The UltraFab seems to mount the motors directly above and has a very direct coupling, donโ€™t know if that makes any difference in the end though.

I looked at both the UltraFab and the Bulldog system, and ended up going with the Bulldog. Very happy and satisfied with it.
