Water rushing out when hooking up - video

2nd time since I picked up our new 2015 Jayco 5th wheel this has happened. My dealer said it was fixed but I guess not. Looks like some rust starting to show. I have sent this video to my dealer. Trying to make sure I document with pictures and video.

Anything else I should do?

Why wait for rain? I'd turn the hose and sprinkler on it and see what happens especially after they say it's fixed....Dennis

Could a line be leaking slowly in the wall or the shower pan is leaking by some place and when you raise front end it starts to leak through, does your pump cycle on and off when switch is on? I would start with these two things and go from there.

The dealer has been very good to work with. They have documented the problems back in March and sent to Jayco. I have forwarded the video to the dealer late this afternoon & will talk with them Tuesday. Thanks.

Another serious issue is the potential damage to the wood behind the skin due to it being saturated with water over a period of time. That also can create a mold (family health) issue.

I would be very serious with dealer about getting that leak fixed ASAP. And then when they say it is fixed, I would make sure my unit is exposed to rain every time it rains. And then watch and make sure the leak is fixed.

If the dealer drags this thing out, then I would be in direct contact with Jayco and request they either take it back to factory and handle or request them service it at a large nearby Jayco dealer.

Another consideration is get educated on your states lemon law. Based upon that education, you may choose to go that route. Even mentioning it, in a professional way, may get your dealers attention.

Yep that was done. Dealer discovered the skylight over shower was broke.

I would check your roof where the front cap meets the roof for bad sealant. I had a similar issue with our current fiver. I put Eternabond along the entire seam and then found another small leak where the side gutter ends at the front, again use some Eternabond and now all is dry.

My water came on the side under the cap when I would lower the nose. Luckily no water damage has been found. Climb up on the roof and inspect every spot there is sealant.
