I'm looking at 2000 25ft golden falcon and the tag says it weighs 9800lbs
But the online nada says this unit weighs 6200 lbs, can anyone weigh in on this topic:)

Hey all
Well we didn't buy the golden falcon although nice unit the weight and lack of useable seating bugged me,so we went with a 5600lb 2003 travelaire rustler with small slide.
We got it for s good price, needs couple repairs but seems solid.

I wanted to know if its ok to walk around up there,I would like to put the winter rv cover on and when I do it, takes me forever because I use ladders and sticks to move the cover around,my neighbours must love watching me??

I tow This with my 2001 Ram 2500 Cummins and enjoy towing every trip. Plenty power and control.

I just saw an online ad for "2000 GLENDALE GOLDEN FALCON 25MGT" it lists the DRY weight at 7580lbs.
NICE looking rig!

So that would mean trailer is about 7200lbs

The nada says 6200lbs but I am not sure this is correct

GVWR is the maximum that the trailer is rated for fully loaded with all your gear, food, water.... The empty dry weight of the trailer is probably 20% - 25% less than the max.

I am amazed that a โ€˜97, 3/4 ton, Cummins Ram, is not rated to handle 9800#. Iโ€™m glad I didnโ€™t look at the โ€œyellow stickerโ€ :E when we were towing with ours! We likely were a little over our rating!

6200 is most likely dry weight
9800 is gross weight

That would make sense at any rate 9800 lbs is too heavy for 97 dodge ram 2500 Cummins

Could the 6200#'s be the axle carry weight and 9800 be the GVW?
