Recently upgraded from a 30 ft 7000 lb cougar x-lite to a 42 ft 12,000 lb Montana High country 5th wheel, also upgraded truck to a 2017 f350 6.7 l Do not have either yet as they are on order. Felt fairly at ease before pulling around my old set up, but feeling a little anxious about my new added length. Any advise please.

The longer rigs really do pull pretty easy, as long as you have the proper truck which you will. As already advised, plan ahead. And you will probably need to use the truck stops to fuel up.

My biggest adjustment was getting used to the turning radius of the larger rig. Backing up seemed to take a bit of getting used to. You will be fine. Enjoy.

Yes, go have fun and enjoy. You will soon be an ease with the new rig. There is always a spot you can fit in you just have to plan ahead.
