Whats Your Real Weights? Truck and Trailer. The Real Deal

I donโ€™t know if itโ€™s been done before or not but I was thinking about keeping a running list of real truck weights by year and type, and trailer weights by brand, size and what the total combined weight is of each guys rig. I was hoping the info would be a help for guys wondering about what the real weights are for a certain type of truck and to keep track of the more popular brand 5th wheel trailers. Another thing that will come out of it will be to see just how many guys really know what they are towing and if they know what their weight capacities are.
Iโ€™m sure it will take some time to compile a list and it will grow as guys add there info but Iโ€™m hoping it will help the newer guys in the long run to be directed back over to this thread in the future.
Iโ€™ll keep the TV lists to mainly the big 3 and from ยพ ton and up and Iโ€™ll try to keep the 5ers in a group by real GVW, length, and then manufacture. Any ideas are welcome as long as it makes things easier. And only real information can be given, so no guessing allowed. Only guys that have scaled there rigs or are totally certain of the weights.
Letโ€™s see if I can keep the format real simple to type down and that will make it simpler for guys to refer back to and to keep track of.

TV - 2006 Dodge Mega Cab 3500 4x4, real scaled weight with full fuel, hitch, DH-DW and misc. gear = 7,500lbs. TV GVWR is 10,200lbs
5ver โ€“ KZ New Vision TH 38ft 14,500lbs loaded GVW. GVWR is 18,000lbs
Normal running TV & TH GCW weight= 22,500lbs, TV GCWR is 23,000lbs
Real Wet Pin Weight=2,950lbs

Steer axle: 4600 lbs
Drive axle: 6320 lbs
Trailer axle: 9800 lbs
Gross weight: 20720 lbs

So to conclude w/trailer attached:

Truck GVWR: 10920 lbs (over by 420lbs without passengers)
Trailer PIN: 2540 lbs
GCWR: under by 280lbs

Cat Scale Weights 13600 GVW and 3100 pin = 22.8 percent pin percentage or increase of 3.2 Percent over Dry percentage

Iโ€™m within 180 pounds of my GVWR of my trucks 11,500 GVWR. We were loaded for a week long trip and we are not full timers.

2015 Ram 3500 DRW Mega Cab with 50 gallon Transfer Flow auxiliary tank and B&W Companion hitch, towing a 2015 Dynamax Trilogy 38RE. Full of fuel, myself, wife and two dogs. Trailer stocked for camping including 3 30 pound propane tanks, full fridge and pantry, and full fresh tank. 5500 Onan, separate washer and dryer, 4 deep cycle batteries, residential fridge.

Under on all axles roughly as follows:
Front 500lbs
Drive 1500
Trailer group 2250


But GVWRs I only have 300 pounds on truck. Trailer has over 1k room. I would like a bit more weight on the steer axle, but it tows so nicely now, and can turn sharper than I am willing to twist the axles with side stress. If truck didn't have auto levelling maybe it would be an issue?

Any theories about why your front axle weight went down with the fiver hitched? Does not seem possible to lose 280#, even if your hitch were placed too far rearward.

Numbers look good for a 3/4T truck.

Loaded for a weekend trip. The front living room and front storage was loaded with every thing in it that we would take camping. The bedroom and the food pantry including the fridge are aft of the front axles so those shouldn't increase pin weights by adding weight.

Lets look at it this way: You have a Combined Gross of 13,800 you hook up an RV at your rated capacity of 9,600, now subtract that 9,600 from your GCWR and leaves you 4200 for your truck, cargo, 5th wheel hitch, and passenger. My bet your truck weighs more than the remaining 4200 Lbs. Plus to add to the confusion, those 8000 Lb Dry weights are for a base model before any options, so they actual out the factory door will usually be higher. My last two fivers left the factory better than a 1000 Lbs above brochure dry weights.
