Hi all; Can the Xwheel stabilizer product or the wheel stop product be used in place of conventional wheel chocks when unhooking or hooking up a fifth wheel trailer? Comments please. Jim2007

Yup, I'm not caring where they come from - just that these are the ones to get. The real deal should weigh approximately 7-8 pounds EACH.

Rubber Wheel Chocks

These are what you want. I've been using 4 of them since I started full timing 4 years ago. I attached a length (loop) of 3/8 nylon to each for easy grabbing and put them down first when setting up and pick them up last thing before leaving. Just throw them in the bed of my P/U when traveling.

You can get the same thing at Harbor Freight[url=] for $15. ๐Ÿ™‚ Or even less expensive here (two for $25). ๐Ÿ™‚

X is fine when level. Use a wedge on any incline. My cheepo yellow plastic wedges have been fine 17 years running.

They shatter when you forget to remove one and pull over it. Made me think twice about using them when on a steep slope. Gave the plastic ones away. Northern Tool has some nice rubber ones they run on sale for $5 every so often. I have 4. If you're worried about weight get a bigger truck.

I use the yellow cheap ones as i ruin some of them in rocky areas etc. I usually keep at least four of them in the trailer, then when they start to deteriorate more, i replace the ones at home and them keep the newer ones in the trailer. i like the plastic ones, both wheel chocks and legos as they are light weight and easy to use with lots of options. That is me, you be you and we all be happy campers! ! ! Good Luck & Be Safe ! ! !

My fifth wheel weighs 10K. i do not camp on noticeably uneven sites. Mine are going on 2 decades with no damage. :h
Apparently yours are not some of the flimsy ones. Which is why I specified "some", and not "all".

I forgot to remove one and it popped right out as soon as I moved the trailer. I use them to help stabilize it but don't trust them for parking.
