Window Repair Runaround

After arriving at our destination in Florida, I noticed that the window in the bedroom of my 2002 Cougar was open on the bottom. Further inspection of it showed that the torque rod (the rod that runs from the crank assembly, across the width of the window, and is used to open the window) had broken off. I checked with the local Keystone dealer who, in turn, checked with Keystone, and was told the parts were no longer available. They said that I would need to change the whole window!!

I was able to do some on-line research, and found the replacement parts at www.parkin-acc.com for a FRACTION of what an entire window would cost.

Thought I'd pass this along in the event someone else has a similar window issue.

Happy camping!!!
