WVa flooding got my TH

Extensive flooding in WVa has us to where we can't get within 10 miles of our TH. We were in Beckley visiting my brother and we got word River was rising 2 to 3 feet an hour. We were 45 mins away from our camper and torrential downpours shut roads down to where we couldn't get to the TH to move it.. Long story short, don't even know if it's on our pad, or washed away... I KNOW it's under water to some extent... I called insurance comany and hope River drops low enough to be able to assess the damage and take pictures for insurance purposes. Rough night for the wife and I . We don't exactly know what to do... Oh, sons camper was also on our lot... Don't know it's condition either.

One never knows what is going to happen. Guess we're now without a camper...between me recouping from the stroke and wife from hip replacement.. This is just about a knock out blow... Don't know what we're going to do at this time.....

Jim - We were on the road while your rig was flooded and I never saw any of the posts. So after I found out about it via your post regarding our fire, I came here to take a look at what happened. OMG! After all the health and flood issues you guys have suffered, I'll bet you'll be glad when 2016 is behind you.

We took the tour while in Indiana. They were all a bit too "Modern/Stark" looking inside. Not a bad rig but a bit pricey for what you get IMHO.

Really DON'T like the soft walls. Damage a corner then what?

There was ONE interior design we liked just don't remember what it was. They were working on a brand new model while we were there. The guys really looked like they were being very detailed.

You might want to look at the River Stone line and also Champagne from Cedar Creek just some other higher end units to look at.

Congrats you picked a great unit, keep us posted. I posted the above and later saw your new post about putting a deposit down.
When will you head up there we will be in the area but not until late July to pick up our new River Stone.

I have repaired some items on a thor 38 ft MH and cheap and cheap is all I could see and the owners tell what a cheap built MH they bought. Just a knock on the entry door gives the idea of going though the tin like metal material.

Be safe out there buddy...Adjuster looked at our camper yesterday afternoon. My brother lives about 35 miles away and opened up the unit for him....I'm home in NC...Should hear something shortly..Guess I'll find out how Progressive is going to be...Still looking for a "full time" rv..Narrowed down to a Moble Suites and a Heartland...been considering several more, but it 's getting confusing checking out so many and comparing differences.

Thanks Mike... Appreciate the offer. Will have to go back and try to salvage what we can. Hoping Progressive will get it worked out... The property will recover.. Will need to do cleaning on the pad and yard.. About all we can do now is sigh and give thanks that in our case, it was just our camper. 23 life's were lost with some still unaccounted for. Homes and vehicles washed away.. In the greater scheme of things, we were fortunate. Some who lost homes didn't have insurance..AND.... It's still raining
