I DID look at the search option, 21,000+ post, 4,200 under 5th wheel.

had a blow out on my china bombs and decided to replace all 4. Looking around, my size was only available in the Marathon which I understand is now made in china as well. What is recommended to replace ST235/80 R16 ?
(3300# @ 80 cold PSI) Hearing G-614's but they don't make that size.

I just had my new Sailun S637 ( the new ones are rated at 129L - 4,050 lbs at 110psi) tires mounted. The tech at the store was very impressed with these. My back will hurt for a week after loading/unloading and mounting but I don't think I will touch these again for quite awhile. They are VERY heavy / sturdy tires. I also purchased a new matching rim as the spare rim that came with my camper was not rated for 110PSI.
The TOMAX 16 in tires seemed like toys in comparison.

That's a ST tire. Their LT tire is a 126L rated at 3750# @ 110 psi.

OP here, Thanks for all of the input, recommendations and digressions. I have bought and installed the tires, now planning my next trip. I will let this dead decaying horse, return to dust. And look forward to the next questions. Thanks again!

Most keep missing this point, yes paying for damages is great, but as I said I would prefer the tire that doesn't have a history of failure .

I think Laknox missed the point when asked about does he know this for a fact, I think what was asked is does he know for a fact if Sailun does or does not cover damage from a failure. Its been reported enough on here that we ALL should know by now with the many failures of the Goodyear tire that they cover damages .

I seem to remember a post about someone who did have a Sailun go bad and tried to file a claim, but Sailun simply said "no damage claims, period". I don't have time to search it out today as I'm working. Was sometime in '14...

Well, as I understand it, the OP has already bought his tires. I see no point in continuing to flog this not only dead, but completely decomposed horse. It's turned into the usual "my way or the highway" deal.

I offered up my opinion on the GY tires he bought. You'll notice I did not bash hell out of the other seemingly decent tire. Although it's just my opinion, I think much of the tire troubles we here about arises from misuse, overloading and lack of attention and maintenance.

The complete nonsense comes into play when people hammer on a product that may have had issues in the past. I mean, are some of you suggesting that no one should ever buy a product that has had past problems or issues? Jeez, we'd all be living in caves, rubbing sticks together. Fords were notorious for rusting out in the 70's....So....Nobody should ever buy a Ford again??

Anyway, I wish good luck to the OP with his tires. I wish good luck to all of you with your tires!! Over and out.

And does anyone really know for a fact that Sailun does not cover damages. I hear assumptions ,but have read no facts.

Huh? You've been on here long enough to have read the many posts relating that GY stepped up to pay for damages caused by a G614 going bad. I'm NOT bad-mouthing the Sailuns, just relating others' experiences that I've read about here.

OK, I just ordered the G-614's and am having them installed next week. Where is a good place to order a TPMS to put on at the same time?

IMHO I would not waste the money on a monitoring system with those tires . I have had 5 sets of GY tires now and not even a flat on any of them. Thousands of miles. Just something else to worry about with the monitoring system. You spent a lot of money on the tires so your money spend it as you please.

He certainly spent more money then necessary on the G614's, when the Sailuns are arguably a better tire at a much lower price, but to each his own.

I have yet to read a failure with the Sailuns, but the G614's are well documented on failures.

They won't have to pay for damages if they don't fail, I have yet to read a failure with the S637's. Sure at some point any tire can fail, but there sure haven't been any bad reports about them .

It doesn't make sense to me to pay nearly twice for a tire that can explode, and leave you beside the road regardless of who gets stuck with the damages, I have insurance for this kind of thing. I think peace of mind for a more dependable tire is much more important then who gets the bill for a blowout . Time will tell on the Sailuns .
