Internet options for full timers

My wife and I are preparing to become full timers. However, I still need to work and require high-speed internet access. Anyone out there have a solution that works well for them? Is so, can you share your experience? Thanks!

Thank you all. I have been learning from your experiences, thank you. My only follow-up questions are regarding the cellular plan prices quoted and the devices.

Dutch and JiminDenver both mentioned ATT Connected Car plan with Mobley for $20/month. I confirmed this with ATT and will acquire once they have the Mobley devices back in stock.

I cannot find any plan on Sprint or T-Mobile for the $14/month and $17/month (respectively) prices quoted. All their plans start above $45/month plus the cost of the device. Could you provide additional information on how you were able to get such great deals?

Last, mentioned is a "4Gcommunity unlimited Sprint LTE hotspot" and a "4Gantennashop" something. I do not see any device named "4Gcommunity" and I am uncertain what device from 4Gantennashop is being referenced.

Would you mind providing some links to the devices referenced?

Thank you again for all your support!

I have been using a Cradlepoint 1000 router for about 10 years ago used.
I bought it used and it has served me very well. I used it in the house, and when on the road.

I bought the 12 volt power supply from Cradlepoint. I can move it to the house, the car and camper.

A Cradlepoint route does not provide any kind of an internet connection. You must be using some device or service that provides the router with an internet connection (Sprint, Verizon, WiFi, etc.)
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

I think I will reserve comment until I see if the OP ever returns. Otherwise, it's just all of us repeating the same things we've been posting for a very long time.

Like Dutch I have multiple solutions, two the same as they have.

AT&T Mobley on a unlimited Connected car account for $20 a month

Flashed 3G Verizon Mifi unlimited for $5 a month

A 4Gcommunity unlimited Sprint LTE hotspot for $14 a month

A 4Gantennashop 5 gig T-Mobile with unlimited streaming of services on the Binge on and Music freedom list. $17 a month.

I use a refurbished Sleek mobile booster and directional antenna.

I set it up this way to stay connected in the Rockies where a service will work on one side of the hill but not the other. I am in them now and I hate to tell you but Sprint and T-Mobile are kicking butt over Verizon and AT&T. T-mobile because of its band 12 and Sprint because it is roaming on the local towers. AT&T and Verizon are so overloaded that they are unusable most of the time.

I have been full-time since the first and have not only never been without a signal yet, I have always had a signal I could stream with. Not bad for $56 a month and all four carriers.

How does one get the A 4Gcommunity unlimited Sprint LTE hotspot for $14 a month?

I have the Mobley and use it in our stick home and when we go camping. We just got back from a week off of work camping and binge watching Scandal at night. We've used 56 GB and still have 9 days to go for the month's use. We had 1 dot on the ATT cell phone and the Mobley only stopped one evening.

We have ATT unlimited Plus. It allows 10 gb tethering. It's not cheap, but it works very well. There is no additional equipment needed. It's unlikely you would use more than 10 gb in a month for a business. It's streaming that eats up the data. We used this in Canada and Alaska this summer with very good results.

I am on the same plan, it is a nice feature and i got 20gb at my disposal (phone+tablet) also i am not 100% sure since i had to run and never could finish the chat. but i was talking with an att rep and i can run a hotspot device. For extra $20 per month and have unlimited 4g lte. It will slow down around 22gb which never has happened.. I think 38gb total was my max this month? Never slowed down.

Edit I donโ€™t use that hotspot plan for movies but I found out a adapter hdmi to lighting cable (iphone user here) $40 from Walmart (apple brand) works pretty good android users probably have a cheaper setup.. On to the hotspot use, i use it to play with my friends on my xbox. Again i am not sure how much data it used but with this plan if i go over it drops speed down to 2g instead of paying a lot for going over.

We're currently in the southern Adirondacks, miles from any major population center, watching a streaming movie from Amazon Prime using our $20/mo unlimited AT&T Connected Car data plan. Here's the results of the speedtest I did just a few minutes ago:

We use an average of 12-18 GB bandwidth per month. What really upsets me is that much of that bandwidth goes to videos/ advertisements various websites use. Forget about getting news from any source without more bandwidth for their videos than actual news.......

You need to use Ad Blocker and a Flash Control extension to block videos from playing. There are a lot of different extensions out there that will accomplish that for you - - just depends upon the browser that you use.

There are only two real options for full timers. Neither is cheap. Satelite, but equipment purchase is very expensive and speed is close to dial-up. Cell based is a bit cheaper, but depending on service provider and location can be spotty at times. The park we spent the last two months at Verizon was the only choice and then it was only good late at night up to about 6:30 in the morning. Still, Verizon is probably your best choice for consistent cell providers. A jetpack plus an external antenna would be your best shot at a consistent signal.

Not in my case with satellite. Ya used to be with Datastorm but now with HughesNet Gen 5 Mobile, I get 25 Meg download speed. 35 G for $90 and about $1400 for equipt. And it is mobile no having to call Hughes each time you move. Easier than setting up a DirecTV dish.
I don't sell any of this but got one of the first ones. Check out if this may work for you at http://www.mobileinternetsatellite.com/
BTW I also have a grandfathered Verizon unlimited plan I can use as a hot spot.

We are full-time and have 4G DSL internet in our motorhome. There really is fast internet available for full-timers. We have both a Verizon jetpack and the ATT Mobley as we are heading west and not all areas have coverage from all carriers. Hoping the two will give us coverage most of the time. If you use much data, be prepared to pay. Mobile internet is not cheap.

We run a software business with very high internet usage out of our RV. We've had very good luck with verizon jetpacks. We've only found a couple of places in 5 years that the internet was so bad we couldn't work.

I've learned not to rely on ATT or Verizon as I've found multiple places in FL and VA where I can't get signal. As someone said, ATT Mobley, but you still have to have signal.
