I have been considering full time living in my travel trailer for a couple of years now. I guess I've actually been preparing for it with my recent tow vehicle acquisition and by slowing doing away with the things I do not need.
Where I need guidance is... I am self employed (predominately in MD and branching into the PA area) with a service business, that is seasonal. So... in the winters I want to travel south and west. So.. I will need to find a seasonal site in MD or PA for my working season.
My question is.. will I need to make MD or PA my permanent address because I do business here? Not sure how this works...
I almost retired in PA and then MD... but I found that not only do you pay Federal taxes, but City and State and County... Check it out before you invest time and money in either.

Definitely Make the state in which you earn your money your home state if possible. I Have had that issue and was unable to avoid living in another state and working in two others so that meant filing three tax returns which is a PIA.
Have Fiver will travel with little or no notice at all. I do need to stop at rest areas now and then:)
