I have GMAC full-timers insurance on the 5th wheel, tv and also a car (500K). I am looking for an umbrella policy at an affordable price. It seems that most companies I have checked with want you to have a homeowner's to qualify for an umbrella policy.

My policy also has under insured and uninsured addition coverage's. Here in Az, and probably every other state many drivers have either the bare minimum or no coverage. I didn't want to be hanging out there exposed so we added the extra coverage.

Check with Miller Insurance who are insurance agents so they have access to a number of companies.

Our full time umbrella policy was $225/year.

We also have an umbrella policy through Miller Ins. for $2,000,000.

What do you mean by an 'umbrella policy'?

It's liability insurance above and beyond what's covered in typical vehicle policies -- typically $1 million and up. It's insurance made to cover what other policies don't -- hence the term "umbrella".

Why have it? As a full timer, you have greater "liability" exposure because your home moves.

Also, just because a company calls what they sell "Full Time" insurance does't mean it has all the insurance you need on the road.

Thanks for the info on 'umbrella'
The FT policy that I have on 5vr is the same policy I had on S&B...same exact coverage.....slip/fall, dog bite, poke in the eye etc.
Is it time for your medication or mine?

We have an umbrella policy from (Aaron Rodgers favorite insurance company) the value of which is almost as much as our total assets. It would give the plaintiff the choice of a quick payment from the policy or a long court procedure to try to get more out of us.
Don't know why they would not issue one for a full-timer.
