MHSRV is an awesome group. Bought our 2015 leprechaun used some where else and love it so far. Tried to buy a new Freelander on Chevy chassis from them but the bank did not agree with us. No fault of theirs would have loved to do business with them. I'm sure they will end up doing any repairs as i find them.

DocP, we too, had the shower leak along the base of the glass panels. Suppose the same guy did both our units!

We purchased our 2016 Leprechaun 319DS (Ford chassis) in August of this year, and have nearly 3,500 miles on it so far. Like others, we loved the layout and that's what sold us.

Handling is excellent. We've crossed the Continental Divide in it several times, over a dozen mountain passes, and from rural roads to interstate highways, and are very pleased. Mileage is around 9 mpg for us, and we rarely exceed 60-60 mph. Strong cross winds are felt, but have not been an issue, nor blasts from passing semis.

We got the heat pump air conditioner, which I highly recommend if you camp in cool weather. Even nights in the low 30's have been no issue for the heat pump, and we avoid using our propane to run the furnace. We have the outdoor package, too: TV, sink and table, 2nd fridge, and have put it to good use.

We also got the convection microwave oven, in addition to the traditional gas oven, and wife likes it a great deal. Faster baking, etc. Too, we got the swivel cab seats, and though they are close to the floor, they still provide a nice additional and useful seating area. The unit has the Leprechaun Banner Package, and the luxury package, and a few other options.

And, it rides more like a car than a truck/RV, and the Firestone air bags really settle it down. Fully loaded, with full tank of gas, wife and our dog, roughly 20 gallons of water in fresh-water tank, and all the MANY other things we have brought aboard, we weigh in at just under 14,100 pounds. Acceleration onto interstate on-ramps is effortless, and the two side cameras are a nice feature (as well as the rear camera).

Overall, we couldn't be more pleased. Were there some minor quality issues? Yes, but nothing so far that I couldn't handle myself. A word of advice, if I may: If you do purchase, pay close attention to everything the tech tells you during your walk-through, and ask every question you can think of -- the "Owner's Manual" is generic, and virtually worthless to the coach.

Hope this helps!

Agree 100% with all of these comments. We added the electric fireplace, and substituted the recliners for the sofa bed. We also had the dealer install hydraulic leveling jacks and a DirecTV satellite dish, so we are truly "all in" on this motorhome. With the 7500 pound Class IV hitch on the 2016 models, I have towed my 2015 Ford Explorer on many of our trips, and the 319DS handled it beautifully through the West Virginia mountains (i.e., Ohio to South Carolina). We had some relatively minor quality finish problems (e.g., poor caulk job around shower, which I fixed myself; wobbly dinette table, which is being repaired next week under warranty), but I am certainly pleased with the purchase). The only negative about the floor plan was the size of the bathroom. At 6'2", it is a bit hard to maneuver around in there for washing up and shaving, but you get used to it, and it just means a bigger cabin space. Good luck with your decision!

Our Leprechaun is a 2012. The layout is great for us, and the Chevy chassis has been problem free. However, the build quality of the coach is not very good. We've had plumbing leaks due to a screw run through a pipe during construction, leaks due to cheap connectors on the pex pipes, and roof leaks due to no caulking or gaskets on the marker lights. We still have one roof leak we haven't been able to track down. It feels like Coachmen used the cheapest parts, and the cheapest engineering they could.
This is by far not our first RV, nor is it our first Coachmen. It will be our last.

Very happy with ours as we wrap up our 3rd summer using it. No problems at all to speak of. Handles well and we also really like the 319DS floor plan. It's a nice rig!

Dave,

I bought my 2014 Freelander from Cowboy at MHSRV and have referred 4 others to them who have bought RVs there. Two of them Leps. All of my friends LOVE MHSRV and would go back and the 2 who have Leps LOVE them.

I have only Good things to say about MHSRV and I only hear good things about the Leps.

Tim

I am sending you a PM.

Is this like back to the future? Seriously, we looked at one of those (a 2016 model) and liked the layout. Hope someone has info on these.
