Abandoned Motorhome

I came across this abandoned Class A motorhome on the Apache Trail last weekend. Anybody here about this incident or know who the motorhome belongs to? I hope everyone was ok?

Looks like a FMCA placard on the back end. Might be able to find the owner with the organization's help.

I saw one person try, and fail, to drive their rented Class C down the Moki Dugway in Utah. He might have had a tough time explaining why he failed to heed the big warning signs.

That road was built for trucks hauling ore. Any motorhome ought to be able to go up or down it safely. I've done it, no big deal.

But I'm not familiar with the Apache trail. Seems more like a stolen rig joyride than something an owner would do to their own motorhome.

Then it obviously was not YOU that I saw trying to go down it in a rented Class C and running off of the road and doing extensive damage to the coach. I guess the guy in the rental was not as skilled as he thought he was. :R

That was one pretty sad article about an accident. Bashing people who had an accident. The occupants most likely incurred severe injuries. When those windshields come in on an A like that the outcome is 'never' good for the driver and passenger. ๐Ÿ˜ž

Agree. The Moki Dugway is a piece of cake. I've seen big 18-wheelers on it and they do fine.

Yeah, sorry. I should've mentioned that. The stench was from the black tank and from the refrigerator being left open.

Give me some Duct Tape and I'll drive that thing out of there!

The smell could be from someone's pants after they hit the bottom.

Wow. In spite of that person making a bad decision, I'm impressed that it's still basically in one piece. A lot of newer motorhomes would be shattered to pieces. I thought of the same thing another person mentioned about the article mentioning the stench - did anyone check for bodies? More than likely though it's probably the black tank and everything else left on board to rot.

Adds new meaning to the term "Drive like you stole it". Just looking at the damage to the passenger side A pillar and how the side of the coach is scraped up and the missing awning who ever drove it to it's current location had little regarding to the damage caused in route.

Yeah - I'm thinking the "vandalism" isn't vandalism so much as whatever raked down the right side of it. Took off the access doors, bent the side and entry door as well. After all, what would vandals want with the access doors?

I think it's a Monaco Dynasty. Ironically, over the windshield it says "On the Road Again". Hope they were ok.

One other thought, it's going to cost a small fortune to tow that thing outta there, probably cost more for the tow than the thing's worth. I'll bet the owner permanently abandoned it.

Probably, but they're still responsible for its removal. I carry my title around so I can hand it over to a tow truck driver in the event I break down. Any tow is worth more than my rig
