My folks bought a new 79 Harvest RV. They never did drive it, the only time they would go anywhere in it I drove. We could sleep 6 of us in it, Mom, Dad, Wife, 2 kids and me. We took several trips all over CA and OR. My brother, who was single, used it a little and ended up living in it.
I don't remember having any problems with it.

Our firt RV was a very old tent trailer, then a much nicer newer one (1970s Startmaster ๐ then our 1st class A: A 23 ft 1973 Triple E (Canadian made) on a Dodge 440 with a 4 barrel carb. Pass anything except a gas station. Less than 50,ooo miles but it began to 2 bid us to death.
Then 1997 Triple E Commander 30' gasser), a REAL motorhome now our 2002 Horizon, 32'DP
But we remember that old Dodge fondly, our longest trip was from Victoria BC to San Francisco, Ca.
What a fun restoration project for someone with the time (and disposable income). Not sure I would want to vacation in it rather than a more recent rig with all the bells and whistles, but still. Anyway, thanks for sharing.
