Awning over door was going in then stopped and something awning snaped out will not retract, motor runs but awning will not move. Any idea as to what broke,and how do I get it closed. 2002 Mandalay

Had the same happen to mine. I removed 2 screws and removed the whole thing. My dealer replaced the motor inside the awning tube. Said the original motor had nylon or plastic gears, the replacements now have metal for the gears.
