Going to spend some time around Austin and San Antonio in 2 months. would like to stay within 20 miles of the city. May stay near Austin for a little while then move to San Antonio. Anyone know of a good campground in these area's preferably with pull throughs.

Thanks Eddie

Another vote for La Hacienda here.

Blazing Star RV resort in San Antonio is very nice. A little expensive and they do like money.

Thanks We're not retired yet so a couple of weeks is all we can manage. We will be taking a Motorcycle to explore the countryside as well as the city so anything within 20 miles would be great.

Thanks Eddie

Another vote for La Hacienda; it's bit pricy but you are in a big city and the price is not out of line for CG's in similar locations in other cities.

Hacienda is nice , but expensive. Another option is mckinney falls state park, just on the south side of austin. Very convienient to town and beautiful. Dont know if you can stay there for two months, but at least two weeks at a time .

When we went to the F1 race in Austin last year we stayed at Lake Falling Star very nice park with friendly owners. They had a potluck dinner one night we were there that was outstanding. Out in the country & quiet.

Great pizza right down the road at Toad Hall and there are a number of good barbecue places in Lockhart.

Eddie G,

Two parks.....one is Oak Forest RV Park. Nice size lots, huge trees, good pool very close to the RV spots. All concrete pads and patios, includes cable. You must get one of the sites up near the entrance, otherwise there are over 100 fulltimers living in the rest of the park, not so desirable. This one is actually in Austin, the other is La Hacienda, which is out by Lake Travis. Nice park with good amenities. Either would make for an enjoyable stay.
