Centramatic, Balance Master, or Other?

Is anyone using the Balance Master, Centramatic or other means of balancing your steer tires? Mine have developed a little hop and I would like to address the issue before long.

I have a place that puts on the Centramatic not far from me but don't know where the Balance Master people are. In the past have used equal but had a flat spot show up on both tires so am not too sold on it.

I have had good results with Balance Masters.

I installed the Centramatics on my rear axle a few years ago. My coach came with the Goodyear G670 tires which I later learned to hate due to separations and rivering on the front tires. At 40000 miles I changed out my original rear tires with new GoodYears and added the Centramatics. The Goodyear's I took off of the rear were not bad, but had some odd tire wear on each tire. I now have about 15000 miles on the rear tires and all four are wearing perfectly. I have to attribute this to the Centramatic.

After replacing the rears, I got another year out of the front GoodYears that I had already replaced twice. This time I went with the Hankooks on the front and tried balancing beads for the first time. The Hankooks are wonderful 10000 miles later and are wearing perfectly.

I like the Centramatics on the rear and will never have to balance them again. I don't know if I would pay for the Centramatics on the front because the beads have worked so well.

We, like many Airstreamers, use Centramatics with good results. So much so that now Centramatics has started distributing via a couple of Airstream dealers.

I bought the Centamatic for the front wheels of my W22. It did absolutely nothing to smooth the ride.
I traded the tires with rear and that helped but the Centramatic gadget still didn't do what was advertized. When I sold the MH I left them on and didn't even attempt to take them to the new MH. Waste of money.

I haven't used them on my coach, but have used them over the years on our fleet vehicles, 33,000# GVW up to 80,000 GVW and been satisfied. It just seems that the initial cost is quite high for much more limited use vehicles like our motorhomes.

RV specific Dynabeads are much less expensive and will keep your tires balanced at all times. A single flat spot is NOT an indication that your tires were out of balance. I would guess that you had a brake lock up that you did not feel.
