hI,
I just bought a 2001 rvision trail lite class b+..
trying all the systems today...most everything works but...

when I hook up the city water to the unit and turn it on no water goes to the faucets...what am I missing??

also, filled the fresh water tank 1/3 full, tried the water pump...it sounds like its working but does not pump water to the faucets...it does pump water out of the drain even though it is closed (I think it is, nothing drains from it til I turn the pump on)
any suggestions...thank you,
christine

Why not join the rvision trail lite camping club forum for rvision owners. You will find info that are make and model specific as opposed to RVnet which, while very helpful and informative, is more general. On the rvision forum you will find input from other owners who have the same year and model as you and can respond with more precise information.

Our city fill check valve is broken so it doesn't close when our pump is running. That happened when I wondered what it was and took the cap off with the pump on - it blew. I put Teflon tape on the threads and capped it. it hasn't leaked. We have never hooked up to city water and probably never will. The pipes get flushed as we use the pump.

For what it's worth, we quit hooking up to city water early in our travels and haven't done it for years. It is more trouble than it's worth, we just rely on the pump. You do need to have the capability to hook up to city water, however, so you can flush the system. Good luck.

That's what I need to hear! Thank you! I was not familiar with the valve with the ring that you pull up on!! Got dark before I could figure it all out, but will fiddle with it today...trying to sanitize the tanks and check all systems on new toy....thanks again!!
City water fill valve must need replacing...will not take in any water....

the city water fill has an internal check valve (closes when using water pump).
They are just cheapo plastic junk.....plunger/spring/o-ring.....and can get jammed or o-ring falls out of position.

Check valve is probably jammed but also check that the screen/washer in the connection (garden hose washer with a screen) is clogged up with debris

luvz2cook - Christine welcome to the forum. Not sure what model you bought, but our model 211 has the pump and fresh water tank under the dinette seat. There are two valves next to that pump. One that looks like an old radiator drain valve
that drains the fresh tank on the ground. The other one has a ring that you pull up on to drain the water lines for winterizing (low point drain). This one often times has to be pushed back down. I suspect that this one is not pushed down and seated so both the pump and shore water is being poured on the ground under your rig. ๐Ÿ™‚

Step 1: close that drain.

I had this problem once with my fiver and as it turned out the water pressure in the campground was low. I had to remove the water pressure regulator that I leave attached to my water hose. Once removed, water in trailer worked fine.

Look for a fill valve. It could be in wrong position.
With pump on, it would just pump in circle back to the fresh water tank. In fill position it would fill tank.

First off.......

Are you sure you are hooked up to 'city water' connection and NOT black tank flush system??

Do you have a 'water panel' with switches/valves? If so...you need to line up the switches/valves for city water

With water pump on Close that valve that water is coming out of....doesn't do any good pumping water out of the system onto the ground.
Is it time for your medication or mine?
