Looking for pros and cons on this engine? Anything that I should look at? It's in an 2005 motorhome. with 49,000 miles. Thanks

I guess speed is all relative because Ive had mine over 80 MPH before..??

If it has the same capabilities as the ISL it can be programmed for any of the HPs listed below. On the build sheet for my MH the engine is listed as a 350 ISL but it has been factory reprogrammed for 400HP.

Speed on grade really depends on weight/HP. Since we don't know what coach it is in, really no way we can know what performance will be like.

Could be in a 22,000 pound coach or 33,000 pound coach. BIG difference.

Excellent engine. As with any larger diesel there a few maintenance issues (very low cost) that are unique to them and important-- such as SCA in the coolant.

I have the 8.3 in a 93 Safari here in NZ
Motor runs like a dream and has never missed a beat. Our legal limit for this size unit is 90kph (56 miles per hour)and with the Allison 6 speed gearbox we are normally doing about 1600rpm for the limit.
I pull a Ford Courier utility as my toad, and the engine has no problem sticking at the limit even on long climbs.
