Dang Annoying Beeper

My 2006 HR Ambassador is beeping when put in gear. Sometimes 10 seconds, but up to 2 minutes. It's coming from under the dash. Power Gear leveling reservoir is full and I disconnected the level sensor. Once it stops it does not come on again till the next time I start it and put in gear. No Help. Where is the beeper? I looked under the dash but it is FULL of wires. I hit the brakes sharply but it didn't help.
Any thoughts??

Pete....It's your parking brake alarm. Your parking brake, located in the panel to the left of your leg, has a brass air/electric valve screwed onto the bottom of the parking brake switch. The valve is about the size of your thumb. Remove the four screw cap covers and four screws that hold the side panel cover on. When you open it up, there will be a LOT of wires. The parking brake switch has a red and blue air line attached and electrical connector. You need to remove the screws that hold the parking brake switch to the panel, pull the whole assembly out and replace the valve. It's an easy repair, once the valve is out where you can get a wrench on it.

The company that makes the valve, Nason, makes the identical valve in multiple internal and electrical configurations. Don't waste your time trying to find one after market. Call Monaco parts, it's about $55.00 shipped to your house. I replaced two in 10 years.

The alarm only sounds when you put it into gear and then does so fro a few seconds up to a few minutes. Here is a test. Put the coach into gear, release the brake. If the alarm is sounding, engaged the parking brake, "pull up" and then "slam" down firmly. The jolt will usually make it stop.

Something to try is when it first starts beeping press the manual Up or Retract button many times that raise your down riggers etc. If the noise goes away you will know the noise maker is under the leveler panel

I have a 2005 Monaco Diplomat with the same problem. I have narrowed it down to a sender that is slow when you shift into drive with the brakes released, the sender is a safety so you don't drive away with the brakes still set. I believe the sender is on the transmission, that is where a Cummins Bridgeway shop told me, but there is more than one when I looked at it, all look identical.

Don't think it's the jacks....it's the parking brake alarm and it's a known issue with HR/Monaco products..I believe the parking brake switch is made by EATON...you can google it and you will find it.

I know the jacks alarm on the Sahara will go off if the engine bay jack switch is "on".

Have you checked to ensure ALL jacks are UP and SEATED?:h This is ASSUMING it's the leveling system.

As Wolfe said, do not disconnect it until you're SURE you know what it is. Beepers are used for many things..low air, water in fuel, ABS etc. Disconnecting warning devices are like Russian Roulette. Don't play with a safety feature unless you know what it does and accept the consequences...just sayin....Dennis

There are a number of things that can be wired to trigger the dash alarm.

I would sure not disconnect it until identifying the cause. Better to fix, but if you can verify that it is not cause for concern while driving, see if you can disconnect/wire across that single source of alarm.

I had that at one time and it was the jacks. Filled the tank would not stop ending up disconnecting the alarm.

Sounds like a low air alert to me also. My Freightliner low air makes a nasty buzzing sound rather than a beep.
