Everything dead after we disconnected from power!?...

We are getting ready to leave an RV Park when I brought our slide in, it hit his driving chair (which I did not realize that he had it leaning back) before I noticed it. It slowed down the slide, but the slide is okay. Then when he disconnected us from the power pole, everything in our coach went dead! The main battery is fully charged, so that is not it. The only way the coach has power, is we have to be connected to the power pole. This includes fridge, etc.

Any and all thoughts would be appreciated!!

Doncha just hate when that happens?
Both retired. Travel with Nicky the Schnoodle. Son graduated and is teaching high school math. We still love our 2006 34' Allegro Bay XB and have 50,000+ miles on her.

SLOWLY reset the main breaker. Power off -> slowly power on.
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

Most modern RVs with 3 stage power converters the converter is parallel with the battery however there is a Battery disconnect, usually just inside the door (So you can reach it when standing on dirt) it may be marked ON/OFF. Connect/Disconnect or Use/Store.

Mine the switch failed, it would Store just fine but it would not USE (Connect) I fixed it by cleaning, ask if you need to know how to do that, it is easy, no tools or materials needed save fingers. And perhaps a key.

Some Older RVs may be "Blessed" (Or is that cursed) with something like the Magnetek 6300.. This device has two 12 volt circuits. one is connected to the battery direct (it powers things like radios and the winegard antenna) the other is powered by a 12 volt unfiltered supply when plugged in (lights, water pump and the like) and a relay that connects the two together when you unplug. This relay, like my switch, can fail.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

Turn the house battery rocker switch on. It didn't switch over to the house batteries when disconnected from shore power.

Main breaker. The slides are 12volt and being plugged in didn't matter. You popped the breaker with slide and the 110 remained until unplugged. I assume the chassis is ok and the coac is out. Let us know your brand and fix.

If it has 12v with power to the outside pole, a breaker or fuse blowing at the panel isn't likely the issue but maybe model depending. Check it just the same. You might want to check further back and see if the + house line is fused before the panel. An overload on the slide out motor may have caused that to blow.

Alternately, the solenoid or switch over mechanism for battery vs 120v supplied 12v could be. How this is handled and where is model specific and should be in your manuals. In a jam to get you home you could jump the + engine battery to the + house battery for fridge 12v. Perfectly safe as this is what the motorhome does by solenoid when you drive.

Sounds to me like a main breaker has tripped and needs to be reset. I don't know what coach you have so I don't know where breakers are.
