Checked out all the systems today. Not an easy task anytime but it was 97 degrees here and hot as heck on the driveway. I can attest to the worth of the AC......worked very well. Using a digital thermo it read 48 coming out of the unit. I was surprised how comfy it kept the PC sitting there hooked to shore power in our driveway.
All seems to work and like any rv seems to have its own peculiar little switch positions and layout of some stuff. I made a few minor adjustments on some hinges and will fully service everything in a couple of weeks when it cools off. I have found over thirty years of rving that maintenance and watching after stuff is the key to having fun on trips. I am just getting too old for surprises or hassles.
So far, I am very impressed with the construction of the Phoenix Cruiser, just as I thought I would be. The most amazing thing is how much easier it is to inspect than the Roadtrek. Bs are marvelous but obviously much more compact and sometimes require an acrobat to contort into a position to get to something. Like the add used to say "have you driven a Ford lately?" No. But this E350 drives and handles very, very well. I am really pleased. I have owned an E450 in the past with good results.
It is great to buy something and be this pleased with the product. We can't wait to take it out to a nearby place for a couple of nights for a shakedown cruise. We mostly boondock so probably will run out in the woods someplace and see how everything works.
This thing is so "nearly new" that the previous owners didn't even take the clingy plastic that protects the control panels off of several things. And some of those advisory tags are still hanging on.
Our weather is running about ten degrees above normal, so all we need is for that to settle down a bit and off we go for the shakedown.
So far, Phoenix Cruiser has earned their good reputation in my opinion.
