Finding a channel for sliding glass

I have a 2000 Winnebago Minnie Winnie and recently had the large sliding glass on the passenger side (at the dinette) replaced. The lexan that is in there is small for the sliding track and it wiggles and is noisy at highway speed. I do not want the mobile tech who replaced the glass doing any more work for me and I've contacted several glass companies and an RV Repair shop with no luck. Any ideas on where I could get a replacement channel or a work around so the glass fits tight. Thanks.

The window channel for the sliding window is spec to the casing - the frame and naked track. Remove a piece - measure and purchase - simple, except account for years of dryness and shrinkage.

The right product seems to be out there. The challenge is finding the right one for your particular circumstance.

Some good ideas Ron! I like the u channel on the glass. I have a good ACE Hardware store about 20 miles away. I'll check with them.

Could you glue a plastic u-channel onto the glass itself to increase the thickness? Where to buy such material...I would start at an Ace hardware store with the glass in-hand and the dimension of the channel width inside the window frame.

I just went on ebay and searched for "plastic u channel" and found some there in various sizes. Someone is bound to sell what you need. It's all about "the search". Google it too.

I had called for a new window as was originally in and the wait time from Winnebago was too much; so was the price. I'm happy with the glass. It looks much better; it's just the noise.

Sometimes you can buy entire window assemblies pretty cheap on fleabay.
