Fixing water damage on the old Dodge (pics)

I got started on my summer project the last couple days. I found this thing on Craig's list for $100 and drove it home. It's a 78 Dodge Monaco 23' with a 440. Here's what it looked like when I brought it home.





Ok, time to dive in!











Oh man, I can't believe the huge bag of rusty screws I have already! It's actually not as rotten as I was thinking it was going to be. Just in the corners, where the screws need to be. Still so much to remove....

The house finally arrived today. The wife and kid are beside themselves. :B

Yeah, the concrete goes in next week just after the house arrives (hopefully). Then the garage doors. Then the clean up... Not looking forward to that, but it has to be done. 🙂

I agree....the garage would normally come first....especially when you have a place to live (the RV on loan).

Are you going to have the concrete poured in the garage too? Looks like it's on stone, from the looks in the picture?

Great job.....can't wait to see pictures of the house too.

Funny you should bump me back up. I was just thinking about adding an update about all the goings on happening here. I'm typing away on our laptop in a 37 foot Sunchaser class A I have on loan from a family friend. It has a slide on the living room, so it's pretty good sized.

I have a crew in the yard making a level pad for our new 27x60 double wide that is scheduled to be delivered next Wednesday. At the same time I have a 24x36 garage that'll be going up just to the left of it. Needless to say I have my work cut out for me for a while longer. :B

I think we've all been there......trying to balance several projects, and one of them just gets put to the side.....hopefully, for only a short time, but usually, the "back burner" is practically forgotten....as new projects come into play.

Hopefully Malcolm keeps the RV in his thoughts....and having it sitting right next to his house, with the new 'barn' will help.

Having all these other projects will keep you busy for awhile, but we hope to see you back here, writing about the Dodge.....
