2 Small eye bolts, and a Bungee Cords.
I use this method but the bungee cords are all hidden inside the old cabinet. I just pull the tv out slightly to release the bungee cords before I position the tv for viewing. The bungee hooks to the back of the tv mount.

marine grade rubber. Installed TV's using just a soft "squash fit"
Because I couldn't find a new LED with front facing speakers, I connected the LED speaker output connections to the existing MH suround sound system.
The installation was easy except for lifting out the old CRT. Had to hire a local wrestler/bodybuilder.

Would you mind telling us how you removed the original tv. It seems flush with the tortoise shell frame. We canโt figure out whether the frame can simply be pulled off or if there are hidden screws somewhere. Please advise.

This topic is 9 years old and Ken hasn't been on here for about 5 years. You may have better luck posting your question in a new post.

one is on a swing arm, I swing it back into the cabinet the old CRT occupied and lay Bungee cords over it in an "X" pattern using eye bolts to hold the cords as the first responder suggested.
The other comes off it's mount and goes in the laundry basket atop the dirty laundry.. Well cushioned, face down
The big one up front is securely bolted to the frame with the very same brackets the original CRT was (Eventually it will be mounted on a door and the area behidn it used for storage).

They work. Can be used on any size appliance or TV.
I am holding down a heavy micro that is smaller than the opening and it has not flown out of the cabinet yet! :B
