Hi all. We're looking at the 2015 Thor Vegas 25' Class'A'. Its on the Ford E-350 van chassis with the 305 HP V10 engine & 5 speed tranny. Will this MoHo pull a 3500 lbs. Jeep 2000 miles? :@

That is like comparing mileage between diesels and gas, per lb moved diesels have exceptional mileage but the actual mpg you see is not that different and most people soon forget they jumped 10K+ in weight when they went to their diesel from their gas.

The 362 is in bigger heavier coaches and mostly taller all detrimental to gas mileage.

No

Have never gotten 10MPG with the 305HP version.

6-7 with a toad, 7-8 without.

If I started worrying about MPG's I would never go camping!!!

jolooote,
I was under the impression that any Ford V-10 manufactured after about '06 or so, was the 362 HP version. I'm not an expert here but, that's what I'm lead to believe. Did Ford "downgrade" their V-10 for later operations?

The E-series retained the 2-valve version because of the how much larger the valve covers are on the 3-valve version. The F-series MDTs and F53/F59 stripped chassis have the 3-valve version.

Yes, but if you don't like the performance V-10 (hill climbing) you can buy a Gale Banks kit for your V-10!

Yes. Many Pre-2006 Class A's also have the 2 valve engine and have no issues with toads at all....
