I have a 2003 Class C, Ford/Jayco E-450 with a problem of water seeping/leaking into the drivers side floorboard. This happens whether the vehicle is in motion or not and after testing with a garden hose, the water seems to be entering through the firewall or maybe near the drain near the drivers side fender. I have also found references to a factory problem with the E-450 and a weld in the chassis, but upon speaking with a Ford representative, as well as searching the Ford TSB's, I cannot find the service bulletin. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and what did they find to be the solution?......Thanks
This message thread may give you some help. There are several links to Ford issued service bulletins to address driver side water intrusion. I think the model years included your 2003.
Not familiar with how the E-450 is constructed but had a car years ago that every time it rained the passenger side floorboard got wet. After checking windows and caulking finally found the problem was clogged weep holes near the base of the windshield that were normally covered by the hood. Good luck.
You might check the drain tube for the AC. If it's plugged, condensate can back up in the system and dump inside the passenger compartment.
